The director of the Center of Automotive Management is Professor Dr. Stefan Bratzel, who founded the institute in 2004.
At the same time, Prof. Bratzel is the head of the business studies focus in Automotive Management at the private Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW) (University of Applied Sciences) in Bergisch Gladbach. Stefan Bratzel (born 1967) worked for several years in product marketing at the Mercedes-Benz subsidiary smart and as a sales manager at an automotive supplier.
